My name might indicate im a alcohlic but its just a BS name I use for spam. Anyways, I do not have a tolerance to benzos (daily use/even weekly) I try to take them here and there to help anxiety or sleep and they do absolutley nothing. Even at 20 mg valium or 1-2 mg xanax just have no effect. This is strange to me and I do not have this problem with any other meds. Is my liver just a sponge or what. I was thinking about trying Kava kava or valerian root wich are natures benzos but again I am reluctent to even waste my money. WTF is going on. Some plasma level thing I dont understand. They even gave me a high dose of Halcion a while back for a MRI and it made me anxious. Has anyone else ever had this problem..if so want work for you?

Some people have different reactions to medication. You need to talk to your doctor to find something that works.

Depending on your weight, you may not be on a high enough dose. But you should talk to your doctor instead of just self-medicating.

Yes. I can't take benzos because they make me hyper...which is the opposite of what they should do.

Try magnesium. It's a natural muscle relaxer that just knocks me out. Non-addictive. Get it in the vitamin aisle.

Here in Italy there's a medicine called Minias which is pretty good to help you sleep.5 drops are just enough and it won't leave you sleepy the day after.Ask in a pharmacy if they got it and give it a try. It's very good.
