It's like they are nice when its just the two of you but when ur friends or his friends are around its awful.

guys confuse being Macho with being Manly.. =T it sucks!
a real Man will not treat a woman badly, and will take responsibiltiy for his actions. he will be respectable, trustworthy, smart, confident, and willing and able to take care of things in a way that makes you Trust him, and Respect him. u need to feel stable and secure with him...so if he is mean or rude to u, don't let him act like that and get away with it. sometimes guys need a woman to "show" them what it means to be a gentleman.. :) good luck~

I think its a matter of pride and trying to make themselves look more powerful. Sometimes people think that by bringing other, people down, they look better. The reality is they dont. However i think most guys act differently around their partners to how they do their friends, its just not always for the better.

It's just male insecurities. They need to fell like the "man" and they do that by cutting you down - especially in public. they are programmed from birth that showing softer emotions is bad and people will thjink they are gay because if it. Only a real man has figured out that it isn't true.........
