You can buy topical cream with local anaesthetic like germolene, best thing to do is ask your pharmasist

Yes it hurts but it doesn't hurt THAT much. I have a high tolerance for pain though. I wouldn't suggest using any numbing cream. It'll make you bleed more and the tattoo artist will probably tell you that it'll ruin your tattoo. You just gotta use common sense. Think about it, if this stuff really worked, was safe, and tattoo artist approved, wouldn't they sell the stuff at the tattoo/piercing shop? Why don't you get a small tattoo in a fleshy part of your body for starters. Then you'll see how it feels and if you think you can handle it, move up from there. DO NOT pick a large tattoo and then quit in the middle of it or even worse faint. Then you'll have a permanent screw up. Think it through long and hard because it is forever.

There is a type of cream you can get off the internet but im not sure of its name, however in the past when i talked about this with my tattooist he advised its a bad thing to do because your body doesnt know its being tattooed and when the cream wears off your body goes into a type of shock and it causes you much more pain than getting the tattoo done in the first place.

It doesn't matter if you have a cream or not, the tattoo artist is going to wash the area first, so using a numbing cream would be kind of pointless. Besides tattoos don't hurt that much, you'll be fine.

I don't understand why people think that tattoos hurt that bad, maybe i have a high pain tolarence (Actually i really like it). the pain seems spiritual to me. Most people are so scared to get tattoos but i have five (getting two more in a month) One on my shoulder, lower back, hip, and both wrist and i took it "like a man" some would say. So you know what girl TAKE IT LIKE A MAN!!! It could be worse you could be pushing a watermelon out of your vagina

yes you can get a cream its a preinjecion numbing cream i canot remeber the name but you can buy it at any good chemist just ask for preinjecion numbing cream and its about 3or 4 quid a tube it should come with instucions in the box there tiny tubes so dont cover much if your thinking on a bigish tattoo most tattooist have it in there stuodios and charge you a bout ten quid for it to be applied

Yes there are creams that can numb. You should ask your pharmacist because some creams need a prescription. You can even check waxing hair removal kits sometimes they have the cream included in the set. Good Luck

Why get a tattoo if you don't want the pain? It only hurts for the time the needle is on the skin. It doesn't hurt afterwards or when it's healing. Just get in there and enjoy it.

Hi honey, use Preparation H cream after you have had it done.. its used for haemorrhoids (piles) it reduces swelling and soothes dry skin.. and keeps the colour of your tattoo...its sbout £3.50 and you can buy it from tesco`s.. hope this helps.. p.s what looks great at the age of 20 dont look soo cool at the age of 35! if you're going to get a tattoo, i think you need to enjoy the full tattoo experience. everything that is worth something is painful. i have loved every one of my tattoo experiences. i've been tattooed for about 13 hours this past year and every minute of it was painful and beautiful. if you can't take the pain, you don't deserve the tattoo.

There is an urban myth going around that girls who have lower back tattoos do so because they like their man to look at it during anal sex!! Btw, if you can't take the pain, don't get inked!
