Men watch porn because we are visually stimulated by nature. We like beautiful, sexy things and porn is a simple easy way of getting that stimulation. This is not a reflection on our GFs abilities to satisfy us.
It is our way of keeping our male egos in check without jeopardising our relationships (ie. cheating) which IS a direct threat to our partners view of themselves and us.
Depending on the amount of porn or what content may present an issue in a relationship, especially is you find it extremely distasteful, but otherwise I'd say turn a blind eye to it, or maybe even take an interest. You never know, you might actually start to like it yourself. MAYBE! ;o)

I have watched porn when younger, I don't watch porn myself anymore, I have always preferred the real deal so much better. I would only assume that its not so much the g/f doesn't do it for them anymore but more the voyeur inside that makes men and women watch porn.

Because guys could have sex 20 times a day if it were up to them. However, women continue to keep their men down so we have to resort to porn the other 19times to fulfill our need.

Some guys just get off on the taboo nature of porn. It's not just guys though. I know some ladies with extensive porn collections, and sex toys too.
