I am currently assisting someone who is on Medicare in OHIO and his Medicare is covering his formula... however... not in all cases is this so... depending on the disability and the coverage they have are they eligible... go to http://www.cms.hhs.gov/PrescriptionDrugCovGenIn/ for help. Your doctor must also write a script for it to be eligible... and may not be Ensure.. there are other generics out there they may substitute for. Any questions may also be directed to your doctor if they try to deny or your not sure how to get help.

At the nursing home I worked at we had a feeding tube patient that used Ensure.

Just ask the Dr. to write a prescription for it. I know though, with medicaid, at least with my son, things have changed and over the counter things won't be taken care of.. Not sure about Medicare. If Medicare doesn't cover it, ask the Dr. for something that might be covered that's simular.

I know it covered under Medicaid, so it's probably under Medicare also. Ensure is the most common tube feed solution. Too bad the people can't taste it though.

Ensure does not go through a feeding tube.

I don't think they cover OTC it's best to call them and see your options.
