It depends on what Religion you want it from.

St. John of the Cross is a good source for Christian Mysticism. But not a book for beginners. Carl Jung has done a good job of explaining Alchemy from a Psychological perspective. And, of course, there is Christian Alchemy, of which I will say no more. It is hidden knowledge, after all.. ;-)

~~~ Trigger ,,,, Rent or buy the PBS documentary of Joseph Campbell as inerviewed by Bill Moyers,,, it's about 6hrs long,,, otherwise go to the bookstore and check out any of the titles by Joseph Campbell and you will find 100's of them in his text.

Hey this one rattled my world! He talks what sin, love, and freedom in Christ really means. And how religion kills spirituality... what it means to be a Christian and not a religion.
