I tried the crest alcohol free mouthwash and I used it for 1 minute. I could feel my tongue start burning and now I get a complete taste of sweet stuff. This happened yesterday. Has this happened to anyone before? What should I do and how long it would take to recover? I saw a doctor who just said it was a burn which caused it but was unsure about th recovery time. Any ideas?

First of all, stop using that brand and type of mouthwash.
Secondly, all I can tell you is to be patient. Everyone's body heals differently. Chanes are you'll be back to normal in a week at least, maybe less.
Sounds like you may have had an allergic reaction possibly to one of the ingrediants in the mouthwash. Just read and compair lables before buying anymore.

happened to me with strong mouth wash but that was all thaste that went in mine took 1-2 days to heal!!do you feel it coming back a bit??
