There are a number of natural treatments available, but if you have persistent tinnitus you should see a doctor. Tinnitus has many causes, and some are more easily treated than others. Sometimes if the cause is treated the tinnitus will go away.

Tinitus is caused by the blood vessles in your ear causing the ear sensory cillia to vibrate which in turn makes you think you are hearing a sound coming from the outside. Most tinitus sufferers simply put on a masking sound - sometimes called white noise - that helps blot out the sound coming from inside their ears. There is supposed to be a device that will transmit a sound that has the opposite wave characteristics from the one generated by the tinitus which will cause the person to not hear any sound - that is neither the tinitus sound nor a masking sound - as the sound transmitted by the device will cancel out the tinitus sound. This is a better option but I don't think it has been technologically proven yet.

I have it also, and as far as I know there is no cure , there are some ways to reduce the noise , one don't take aspirins or medicine of the like ... they increase the sound , listen to soft or light music, drowns the noise , the noise is most prevalent when in complete silence , when in heavy sound use ear plugs so as not to further aggravate the problem , and good luck .

You can not..... I lost some of my hearing and as a result have serious tinnitus...It's a real pain in the butt and very frustrating at times.....sometimes it is more noticeable than others, but you can not get rid of it.

ringing in the ear has a lot to do with insufficient blood flow to the brain. so its possible that the decreased flow of blood to your brain could be causing damage and eventually you might have a stroke. if i were you i would go get my head checked and heart. It also could mean a possible ear or sinus infection but to be on the safe side get checked
