I saw people who is 10 years apart... even 15 years apart...

But, what is the common age differences?
And how much older is too old for you?

Do you mind going out with someone who is much older than you, but he/she knows how to make you happy?

My parents are 10 years difference. I cap my dating age at my older brother's age, because dating anyone older than him (who I think of as old) would be really weird. I'm 26 and I'll date someone up to 32. I won't date anyone more than a year younger though. I've found that the old saying that girls grow up faster is true, and I don't want someone less mature than me.

I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 33. 13 years isn't so bad. Much older than that, I don't think I could date. But I think that it has to with my age and my maturity. Age shouldn't make at difference as long as you can find some common ground.

My age range used to be about 10 yrs older or younger for dating...now, it's less...I'm 41 and I probably wouldn't date over 49 on the older side and under mid-30s on the younger side (unless the person was very exceptional, and I didn't know their age right off)....

It's an individual choice...some claim age doesn't matter...but to me it does...the more years difference, the more challenges there tend to be...and the higher liklihood that the couple aren't dating each other for the same reasons...

The oldest was 4 years older... I think after 5 years is the cut off. Just because the two of you are in different era's... you aren't into the same things. I don't know. I was even iffy about going out with that guy since I was only 19 and he was 24! But we're still on/off after 6 years. I know I'm dumb, but my dad and his current girlfriend is like around 30years! now that is GROSS!

my bf is 30 and i am 23...so that is 7 years difference. before i always dated guys around my age...never younger..but atleast a year or so older...till i met my currant bf. it was love at first sight for us...i didn't matter to me what age he was...and it still doesn't affect me that he is 7 years older. we are wonderful together and have the same goals and desires. And i work with a women who met her husband when she was 16 and he was 27..so that is 11 years difference..and they are still happily married today...she is like 50 now...and he's 61...it's all about love...not age

Yes I would go out with someone who is much older than me as well as much younger.
It's all a matter of having good chemistry and the same maturity level.
If there is attraction, common ground and common interest, there is balance; so age will not matter.

I don't mind at all within reason. 10 years and even 15 is not to terrible of a difference depending upon your age when you start dating.
