Jell-O Cranberry Apple Mold
(Serves 10)

* 1 1/2 Cups boiling water
* 1 large Package (8-serving size) Jell-O Cranberry Gelatin or any red flavor
* 1 Can (16 ounces) Ocean Spray whole berry cranberry sauce
* 1 Cup cold water
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1 Medium apple, chopped

1. STIR boiling water into gelatin in large bowl 2 minutes or until completely dissolved. Stir in cranberry sauce, cold water and cinnamon. Refrigerate about 1 1/2 hours or until thickened (spoon drawn through leaves a definite impression.)

2. STIR in apple. Spoon into 5-cup mold.

3. REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm. Unmold. Garnish as desired.

"This recipe was originally printed in 1994 when cranberry Jell-O was first introduced. I made it for Thanksgiving & it was excellent. Everyone asked for the recipe. I feel it can replace both cranberry sauce and Waldorf Salad. This year I am going to try adding some diced celery and walnuts."

I have a wonderful cranberry salad recipe that is made with whole berry cranberry sauce that is a Thanksgiving tradition at our house...it is very easy too!
2 small boxes cranberry jello (I have used strawberry before)
2 cups hot water
1 can crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
2 cans whole cranberry sauce

Dissolve jello in hot water, add cranberry sauce, pineapple and nuts. Serve well chilled. I have added apples, bananas and coconut before. My family likes it that way too. Hope you like it.

I would make the jello according to dirctions and then stir in the apples / walnuts and DRIED cranberries. Other than that, have never heard of cooking the cranberries and then putting them in jello.

that's what I do from time to time. yet a container of Pumpkin Bread, and once you mixture each and all the aspects upload approximately 2 hand fulls of dried cranberries in the batter. I swear it works, reason I do it alot - we purchase those extensive bags of Costco cranberries, and that i ought to apply them! good success.
