Dressing would not get crammed into something. It purely clothing the dish. That definitely is the only distinction. Like ya you're able to make a huge portion of dressing, chop up it in 0.5, stuff between the halves right into a hen or turkey and bypass away the different as is after which you have dressing and stuffing. It extremely would not count number what the corporation field says. What concerns is the variety you cook dinner it.

There is no difference. Just what different people call it.
"Stuffing" can be stuffed into the bird or baked alongside it in a separate dish, and the same holds true for the term "dressing," they write. "In the southern and eastern United States, people generally call it 'dressing,' a term that came about during the 19th century. Elsewhere, it's referred to as 'stuffing."'

Stuffing is cooked INSIDE of the bird, while dressing is baked in a pan in the oven along with the turkey...stuffing is more moist as it absorbs the juices from the turkey....dressing is dryer...both are delicious

I prefer to call it stuffing. Dressing can mean either stuffing or a salad dressing to me. That can get confusing when someone says they're making dressing. I don't know whether they mean for salad or for the turkey! So I prefer stuffing for the bread concoction whether or not it's in the turkey or on the side. Eliminates confusion.

I have always called it stuffing, but I think it depends where you live geographically. It's like the soda, pop, tonic, thing. Mass people say tonic, now in Fl. it is soda or pop. But, to me, you STUFF a turkey, you do not DRESS it. Is it going to the prom? Or like AUNT(proper) and ANT(a bug you step on) which is right? Aunt or Ant, hence, stuffing or dressing, it's your bird, you decide what you want to do with it. Do you want to STUFF it or DRESS it?
