Hello! While there are many great restaurants in San Diego where you can have a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, the only place I can think of where you can also watch football is Nick's at the Beach in Ocean Beach.

Nick’s was voted best neighborhood restaurant two years in a row by San Diego Magazine food critics. On the bottom floor, there's a casual, California-style restaurant and sidewalk café where smoking is permitted, and fresh seafood is the house specialty. Nick's also offers steaks, chicken, apple brandy pork chops, pasta, sandwiches and salads, as well as dessert.

Upstairs at Nick’s there are 29 TVs, 16 beers on tap and a great ocean view from our outdoor deck where you can smoke (smoking is allowed here).

On Thanksgiving, Nick's will be serving both the regular menu and turkey with all the trimmings downstairs, and you can watch all the games you want upstairs from 11 am to 1 am.

(Btw, if you want a ritzy Thanksgiving dinner and don't mind watching the game elsewhere, I'd suggest Pacifica Del Mar's prix fixe Thanksgiving menu at $36pp or dinner at the Hotel del Coronado at about $70pp).

Have a happy Turkey Day!

I helped a friend move from VA to San Diego a few years ago. We drove and ended up arriving in SD on Thanksgiving morning. Had dinner at a great place in the Gas Lamp District called Asti. I had venison and it was fantastic. Good wine, good food. Then we went out to a few of the local bars for drinks and football. There's no shortage of places to go in the Gas Lamp District. Have fun!

Here's a website that may be able to help you. Karl Strauss Brewery in Carlsbad sounds like something that might work. Because it's close and it will have the game on as well, and there food is not all that bad.
