The Iranian President if looking for the Hidden Mahdi, for a world order of Islam. He believes the destruction of Israel & the west will usher in the Mahdi.

Ah, making up our own biblical predictions... fodder for tabloids.

The end of the world for you or I may be when we're hit by a car tomorrow. You should always be ready to meet your maker. If it happens all at once to the entire population, so be it. It shouldn't affect how you live your life.

"As predicted in the book of Daniel".... how about leaving interpretation of that sort to the authorities (the Church)?

No. Daniel is about the Maccabean Period (Hannukah celebrates, more or less, the reestablishment of the Temple and Israel) and Revelation is talking about the Roman Empire.
