He had been spoiled all his life and sheltered. He had never seen sick, starving, etc. people. He eventually encountered it, and went off to find out why these things happened. He tried asceticism and fasting, but they didn't do any good. He came to the middle ground of moderation and, essentially, created Buddhism. The problem is, Buddha himself was an atheist, his followers made a religion out of him.

There really is not ample evidence on his childhood. Humanity only knows that he was happy in his rich fathers home;but yet he wanted to see what the outside world (outside of his fathers palace) looked liked. He was taken out of the palace, and saw much suffering in his country of India. He put much thought into this, and meditated on why there was so much suffering in the world. Thus Buddhism was born. Not actually a religion, but a philosophy of life.
Mindfulness Meditation, which improves ones cognitive thinking, memory, concentration and focus, improves relationships, helps one demonstrate lovingkindness and tolerance toward all religions, and brings rest and peace, is very well known is the eastern and western world today. And Mindfulness Meditation has its roots in Buddhism.
Siddhartha Guatama, known as The Buddha, did not claim to be a prophet, nor a deity(God).
He was a humble man, who only wanted to help people, and obtain a clear understanding of suffering.

Excellent Question.

A fortune-teller told his father that Siddhartha would become an ascetic. His father did not want his son to leave world so from childhood he gave him all comforts and gave strict orders to his men that siddhartha should not see any ill person, a dead body, a defected body or an old person...

So he grew up in atmosphere where he thought everything in the world is beautiful...and he got married to Yashodhara who bore his lovely son.

But as luck would have it...once he was going out when he saw an old man and a dead body being taken...he asked his guard..as to why this man is so ugly and what happened to the man (dead)

His guard told him about old age and death... This shook him violently. He asked-will I also become old, ill and would I also die ?
Yes- his companion replied

That moment siddhartha was changed... he left everything and went to forest...to find a way to get out of the clutches of life and death.. and Buddha was born

What I heard was that Siddartha Guatama was destined to be a great king IF he remained within the palace walls until he reached a certain age. But if he ventured outside of the palace walls he would become a great spiritual leader. His father wanting a great warrior king conspired to keep Siddartha in the palace.

The adventurous young prince found a charioteer to take him outside of the palace and into the town. On his first trip, he saw a beggar in the street.

On his second trip he saw the beggar lying down in the street. He asked his driver what was wrong with the beggar and was informed that he had died.

This was Siddartha's first introduction to death and suffering and he contemplated this under a tree.

When the moon came up he realized his Buddha nature and was enlightened.

The childhood experiences of the Buddha did not lead to his questioning of the spiritual practices of his time (I am filling in the end of your question because it was cut off- forgive me if I got it wrong). According to the Buddhist legend, he was raised in total materialism and luxury. This was because his father had heard a prophecy that his son could possibly become a great holy man. The father, who was a king, wanted his son to be the royal heir so he shielded Siddhartha from religious thought and indulged him with worldly pleasures. However, on a carriage ride, the young prince saw examples of old age, suffering and death. He was moved to take up intense aescetic (self denying) religious practices. After six years of this he resolved to sit vigil until he was awakened. He sat under a Banyan tree for ten days and then had his spiritual awakening. From this time he on he preached a doctrine known as the "middle way", so called because it reccomended avoiding the extremes of aesceticism and materialism and emphasized steady and consistent spiritual practice.

Not much in his childhood. If I remember correctly, he was in his twenties when he left the placae grounds and saw the four sights that led to his spiritual search--before that, he'd been essentially a prisoner in his father's palace.

Only God can clarify the truth and give an explanation of all things. this is why many in search of the real truth start to doubt these false religions...they realize that the false Gods can't give complete and honest answers and truths.
