Probably the two most talked about fighters at the moment, obviously Pacquiao and Mayweather are many weight classes apart and this fight is highly unlikely to happen, but what if they had been arouned at the same time in the super featherweight division?. The one weight division they have currently both fought at and probably not the ideal fighting weight for either fighter, so over 12 rouneds at superfeather weight who wins?.

Mayweather, a great defensive-boxer, may be surprised that Pacquiao can manage to tag him with his vicious "Manila Ice" and right hook.
Y'know what special about Manny is that although he doesnt have great boxing skills, his southpaw stance complements his style. He has a fast and powerful left straight that would often catch an orthodox stanced fighter. Plus, he has the knack of tagging his opponents. I don't yet know how he does it but maybe due to his combinations or pure instinct or both.
Yeah, yeah, im almost sick of hearing that one should box or counter pacquiao and this is supposed to be the ultimate equalizer against Pacman. I think it is crap. It is hard to box an opponent with tremendous speed and punches in blinding combinations without tiring. Plus, there is a fear present in every Manny's opponents that they might get hit on the process of countering him. Pacquiao is a chaser and he's a damn great chaser. You will get caught. He is also relentless almost like madman.
PBF, on the other hand is a good avoider and runner. A tremendous boxer... top-notch!!! A very good counter puncher and amazing defense... But I tell you, if these two collided in superfeatherweight... PBF will succumbed to the speed and power of Pacquiao!!!
BTW, i like these two fighters. They are the best in their own styles!!!

If you are betting you have to be logical. Both fighers are very fast so speed is a wash. Floyd is going to be bigger and stronger. He has the reach advantage and skill advantage. His defesne is superior to any fighter in boxing. Manny has never faced a defense this good. As a matter of fact Oscar was very easy to hit. Hatton and Cotto both are straight forward guys who have no head movement and no thought for defense. I see Manny pressing forward to try to make Floyd fight and rattle his calm.I see Floyd counter punching inside of Manny's wide, wild shots and making him pay when he gets close. He will jab and keep Manny at a distance a lot. Manny will have a hard time hitting him and will be very frustrated by how he cant find Floyd during the first 5 rounds...after round 6 Manny will start to show fatigue from chasing Floyd and Floyd will start fighting in the center of the ring and sitting down on his punches. He will totally take over here. It will end in a 10th round Ko or unanimous decison 117-110.

A lot of people are picking Mayweather because of his technical superiority. But the point is almost every fighter pacman has fought was technically superior to him when he faced them- from Chatchai Sasakul up to Erik Morales. There is something to be said about raw power and determination. I don't know if Mayweather ever faced an attacker as relentless as Pacquiao. There is no question that Mayweather would probably land more punches. Whether or not that would matter at all depends on Pacman. A case in point is Round 2 of the last Pacman Morales fight. It was my impression that Morales landed an equal number of punches if not more punches on that round. But who landed the punches that hurt?
And when a boxer starts feeling hurt he loses his technical superiority. That's what happened to Barrera, that's what happened to Erik Morales.

I'm trying to think about this one objectively as everyone knows i don't particularly like Mayweather as a person or as a boxer.
The conclusion i would come to would be a Pacquiao unanimous decision i think Manny would hunt him down for 12 rounds and i reckon he would definitely catch him with some vicious Hooks like he did Morales, which i think would slow Mayweather down to the point that he could get KO'd, i do think he would probably last the distance though mainly because of his defense (particularly turning his head away from the punch). I think Mayweather would slip a lot of the punches and probably land a few good shots himself and this could be dangerous for Pacquiao as he was obviously a bigger hitter at the lower weights he did actually possess a KO punch something that i don't think he possesses at Welter.
So as i said Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao to win a UD i just think because he will be the one chasing the fight he will win the majority of the rounds.

I am a big fan of both but a bigger Pacquiao fan but i will have to go with Mayweather... he has the skills more superior to Pacquiao. Mayweather will just outpoint him the whole match and win by a unanimous decision, but if they wanted to start trading at the super featherweight division then Manny in my opinion would hurt Mayweather ... not knock him out but maybe just start to stun him and it would be close ... but like i said Mayweather will just outpoint him... many guys said above that Pacquiao has fought guys that are far superior to him in boxing skills ,but Mayweather is the best Pacquiao hasnt fought someone like Mayweather, he has fought some of the bests but i dont think he can beat Mayweather if he comes to boxing if it comes to trading punches then... i dont know who will win that one but i will be rooting on for Pacquiao lol

This would've been an exciting fight but i think that Pacquiao is a little to predictable for a highly skilled fighter like Mayweather. He basically is a right jab, straight left cross fighter with good power and he may give Floyd a few anxious moments but Floyd would start to time him and counter effectively and his speed and sharp punching would overwhelm the Pac Man and win a unanimous decision or a late round stoppage in a thrilling fight. And you know my man Frank D. doesn't care for Floyd, i don't think he would pick Floyd over Bugs Bunny! Just kidding!

paquiao has such a strong punch for a little guy. Also Mayweather was tired in the Baldomir fight. How do u think he wil be with manny. chances are not good. I would pick manny but it would be close.
