Out of all the guys I serve with the only one whom I the least bit interested in got talked into challanging me. I'm almost 5'2" and he is a little of 6 I think. I'm a Hapkido instructor and hand to hand combat instructor. He is pretty good but....... If I turn down the challange, they will think I'm afraid of getting beat. If I let him win.... well, that can't happen. If I beat him I'm afraid I'll crush his male ego and he will loose face with "the guys". What would you do and why?

They know I instruct. He and a couple of the other guys have seen me take out a bouncer without spilling my beer. Its all ego driven and dang it I have one too.

Well, if he challenged you, then it's all fair to beat him. Maybe you could explain to the "guys" and him your training... that way they're aware that their not dealing with an amateur.
