My boyfriend is not a verbaly emotional person, but he is a very physicaly emotional person. One night after drinking him and I were talked about 2 friends who were dating and living together and were most likely going to get married. Well she has 2 kids from a previous relationship. Yadda Yadda Yadda about them. My BF and his friend were talking and my BF said that he was going to get his friend a Tattoo that said "stepdad". Then we were talking some more about kids and stuff and he said "I guess I'm going to have to get one too" HELLO shocked the heck outa me. He hasnt spent a lot of time around my son becasue the scheduals clash but the time he has spent, I've caught him looking and smiling and laughing at me son. This has must be a good thing, and does this mean that he is leaning twords marriage? And if so how far along in the realationship does a guy know that he is going to marry the woman he is with?

There really is no way of determining a timeline for when guys know who they're going to marry, it all depends on the guy, the girl and the relationship. Some people claim they fell in love at first sight, and new right away they'd get married. Some claim they grew on each other, and some will say there is a moment that they just looked at the other person they were dating and realized they were ready for marriage.
In your case, if your boyfriend made that stepdad comment, it sounds like he is serious about you and your child, which is a good thing. He can be a great stepdad without getting married too, so it may not be a marriage related comment, however it's still a positive thing and could mean he's thinking along those lines.

I see the relationships for years. My fiance do this, that - and they are ending in Bye. Is people choice but the jokes of get tattoo are not funny. Be without marriage together is very common - but how he treat your son is the most important.
Destination in future is the answer.

I know exactly the type of guy you are talking about (your bf). It is hard to get them to talk about how they feel. But, a few drinks usually loosens them up a bit. You need to have a night out alone, a few drinks and a talk. Tell him what you are looking for in life. Then, tell him that you know it is difficult for him to put his feelings into words but it is important to you that he gives it a little try. You should get a short but simple answer out of him.
