I always buy an extra turkey around thanksgiving because they're so cheap! You can' t beat 25 pounds of meat for $5! Well my good intentions aren't always well thought out. I recently gave my mother a turkey that had been in my freezer for over 2 years and she cooked it and it turned out fine. Now keep in mind it was kept in a deep freeze type freezer, not the frost free type which will cause things to become frost bitten faster.

Good luck
