Mary tricked Joseph into believing that. She was knocked up by a roman soldier or by an alien visitor?

Very unlikely...
nothing about you personally, but a lot of people "assume" a lot of things about Biblical things...even if they haven't really read through at least 1 of the 66 or so books that comprise the entire Bible.
1. It was shepherds that came into the manger where Jesus was born.
2. The "wise men" (we do not even know how many, but can assume that there was at least 2) did visit Mary but at their house, way after Jesus was born,
3. It was angels that told Mary & Joseph about the Son of God.
I know all these are hard to believe, but belief in God is a process, first you have to believe there is a God, then take the next step of faith & the next...

No, they did not. The wise men were not at the manger at the time of the birth of Jesus. They did not arrive until sometime later. I don't know why they are shown in the Nativity scenes because that is incorrect. The wise men followed the star that shown at the place of Jesus' birth. They had been sent by Herod to find Him and they went another way after the found Our Savior because they did not want Herod to know His whereabouts. Furthermore, Mary already had been told she was giving birth through the Holy Spirit.
Merry Christmas.

They mean the same thing. Matthew is absolutely clear in that Jesus is born of the Virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit. Thus, Revelation and Luke are unclear. Luke says Jesus was KNOWN as son of Joseph. This means societally, not that he literally WAS the son of Joseph. Revelation associates Jesus with the House of David. The patriarchical designation must therefore not be literal, but symbolical or associative. The reason it is SON of Joseph is that Judaism identified lineage by the male, so it is customary, not necessarily literal. Furthermore, in the Gospel of Luke, Gabriel says, "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." Yet in the very same pasasge, Gabriel states in response to Mary's "I have no relation with a man," ""The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you." So, there is no contradiction, merely a misunderstanding. God bless When Jesus speaks in Revelation He is reffering to the same thing Gabriel is in saying "The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father Jacob." And Gabriel does not mean by blood, obviously, because he also affirms that Jesus is born miraculously. Furthermore, why would Jesus need to be given the throne of David if he were a blood descendant of David? If simply symbolizes Jesus as the new king.

~~~ Randy ,,,, Those who believe in ANY organized Religion and do not have the knowledge it's origins,,, then continue to perpetuate Disinformation are the Ones responsible for "tricking" the people. But one also has to take Personal Accountability in being gullible and accepting The Word of Authority as to what is "The Gospel" or Dogma which Dictates the only One and True Way. ~~~ FYI,,, it is well established by Non-Religious Historians that The Magi were Astrologers and Men of Science(of the day).
No! Why would they want to be tricked by old wise men?
God himself spoke to Mary via the angel he send. The wise men had the same message from God, and send them to where Jesus was in his crib, by using the stars as the guide to where he lay.
The wise men did not show up at the manger. They actually came in later. The story just gets put together to make it easier.
I don't think anybody could be THAT smart as to trick Mary. She already KNEW who Jesus was, and so did Joseph. (Although he had doubts about Mary's fidelity at first, and so he was considering divorcing her.....UNTIL he had a little visit from heaven to straighten him out). Then God's plan was revealed to both of them as to who this child was.
No...the whole 'son of god' thing was added many years later to account for Mary allegedly unaccounted for pregnancy before consummating her marriage with Joseph.
Mary and Joseph already knew who Jesus was.
The angel Gabriel told her,
Elizabeth told her,
and the prophet Simeon told her.
