I'm 19, and a college student. I don't have any problems getting guys for various reasons, and I never been attracted to the same sex- except a while back a real life friend introduced me to her penfriend (I will call her Alice, and yes my friend has met her in real life). We got talking, traded information and secrets and over two years got really close. I helped her out with tough times and she talked me through my problems.
Then the strangest thing happened, I got drunk with friends and found myself (to my own surprise) telling them how much I'm in love with Alice. Sober it makes the same amount of sense, I have never met anyone like her. She's beautiful, wise, everything perfect.
Only the other day I found out that she likes me back the same way - not just a crush but serious love. And it's possible that she's coming to college in my state next year.

So my question is, should I pursue this online before meeting her, or wait the 11+ months until she comes here?

Might be fun or, at least interesting, to persue online. I have a friend online and I have pretty much the same relationship, as you do with Alice, so I know where you're coming from.
Is she into girls, besides you? Is she coming to your state for college b/c you're there? You said, "possible that she's coming", which means you may not get to see her? Can you wait a whole 11+ months for her to "possibly" show up? No, I'd definately do the online thing till you can be together. Maybe you girls will find out eventually that you were just meant to be soul mates and best friends, and not lovers. Maybe you were meant to be together. Maybe you two will end up leaving a trail of broken guy's hearts everywhere you go. Being in college, and not being tied down (ie boyfriend) this could be your oppurtunity for a once in a lifetime, amazing experience.
I'd definately speak to her (yea, like you dont already! lol) and find out her feelings on this matter. Dig deep, and see what she thinks...
Good luck, and I wish you (and "Alice") all the best!!!

wait 2 c if she really is coming 2 your college because u might give her an idea if u don't want her 2 come if she really isn't.if u think that people might think u r weird than keep it a secret or go on 2 guys.because u drunk,u could have said a lot of things that u didn't mean and your mind has grown 2 what u said and u believe your self.

you should of course pursue it before the 11 months are up and I think it's great that you came out about it... I wish you and her all the happiness in the world...

Talk to her about your feelings. She will open up about hers too. Then talk it out and decide if you two should go for it or wait and see what happens. Either way you need to tell her what is going on in your head. Best of luck!!

persue it now so that you don't stand the chance of waiting for 11 mos and then finding out it isn't going to work out.
