Dosent it seem that life is about experiencing yourself, to the fullest. NOw wouldnt it be damn near impossible to do everything that you need to learn by being in this physical body that dies from the day you are born, in one life. If according to biblical text that Jesus could live again, why couldnt we. Just wondering?

have you been to another a place you have never been before but seem familiar and feels that you have been here before?the best explanation is you were there in your past life.Death is only a transition from one form to another, just like discarding a torn shirt and changing a new one, reincarnation is very true and natural,it is the law of nature.
Your life today is the result of your Attitude and Choice of the Past
Your life tomorrow is the result of your Attitude and Choice you made Today

Boy do you make me think harder with each question. To risk offending you would be a bad deed. But, as we say, I'll give the 'ol college try.
I see 2 kinds of reincarnation. One is back into a manform, and the second would be in animal/plant form.
I accordance with your statement, I would agree that a man would have to live many lifetimes to just begin to understand. Too many lifetimes. Not enough. And, if this situation were true, then the population would be exploding. That is where I brought up the animal/plant form, to fill in. But, an animal or plant cannot gain the knowledge a human needs.

So, if Jesus lived again, why can't we...here, now. We can't because we all are miserable failures. Unworthy of any hope, divinity, miracles..2nd chances. But, Jesus, who rose from the dead, in your place, gives you everlasting life. Just grin and bear it, while stuck here.

You are confusing reincarnation with Resurrection. Resurrection is the reuniting of the spirit and the body post mortem. This makes one Immortal and they will live forever. One time through mortality is all that has been planned and no repeat flights. Jesus and many others have been resurrected. There are a select few who never died but were translated (mortal to immortal without death and Resurrection) and only four recorded people who never died but remain on earth as immortal beings until Jesus returns again. They are John the Beloved and three Nephites who when asked by the Lord what they desired they asked to remain on the earth until his return and the request was granted.

Some have suggested that this is just what Jesus was talking about when he said "There are many rooms in my father's house... I go to prepare a place for you..." There's a few other things in the bible that make more sense with reincarnation in the picture, but I forget what they are.

As for me, I sure hope there is reincarnation, because I think it'll take a couple of goes at this life thing before I can accept it all.

I have experience many things that convince me that I am the life of the body and i know i have lived before i had this body and i will live after it is Gone. Jesus taught reincarnation & karma, this is the only way life makes sense. See matthew 11-14/15 & matthew 17-10/13 Jesus tells his deciples that john the baptist is Elias reborn. There are other references in the bible.

It certainly could be possible. I, myself, stay open to the possibility and haven't arrived at a personal conclusion.

So this is a very broad topic that could be discussed from many angles. But since you mentioned Jesus and biblical text, I thought I would approach that angle.

While a significant majority of Judeo-Christian faiths to not hold reincarnation as one of their tenets (at least not reincarnation in the sense discussed by many Eastern religions), there are some exceptions. One author that I know of explored this topic in Reincarnation: The Missing Link in Christianity (by Elizabeth Clare Prophet). And while I was looking for the title, I noticed one I need to read (Reincarnation and Christianity) by the Clergymen of the Church of England. And even a general Yahoo search shows quite a few results discussing the pros and cons of this topic.

I think its an interesting topic to continue to explore. Great question. :-)

Sure it's possible and sure it would be nice if it were true.

But there is absolutely no evidence that it is.

There's just a lot of wishful thinking.

Some small evidence - talk to anybody who sincerely believes that they were reincarnated from another life. Has any of them been beggars or whores or pig-pen shovelers? I know at least three people who think they lived before. One of them was a prince, one of them was married to a rich man and one of them was a poet.

But what do I know ...

Since nobody really knows what happens after we die, I would have to say reincarnation is entirely possible. There are some people in my family that sometimes wonder if my son is my father reincarnated. He acts like him in a lot of ways. He loves a lot of the same things as passionately as my father did. He even looks remarkably like him. He has blond hair/blue eyes and very pale, like my dad. My husband and I are darker complected with dark brown hair/eyes. I'm not saying he is my father, but sometimes even I have to wonder.......................... Some day we will know the answer to this question, but until then it's kind of fun to speculate.

Yes. I think we have more than one opportunity to live. Especially if you believe in the Bible, I think. What about all the millions of people that ever lived and never had a chance to learn about Christianity? Do we really believe that those people were just condemned to hell? I don't, I think we have many chances to grow as a soul

Possible? This the biggest Truth which is being denied by many people..I am posting my reply on re-birth for the nth time

Reincarnation is a truth ... If one book does not mention it, Truth does not become false...

Reincarnation is perhaps a wrong word used...hindus and Buddhists use Re-Birth instead.

As humans we have to learn millions of lessons of pains and joys, richness and poverties, cruelty and kindness, killing and be killed, ...till we reach our next mind evolution i.e. Divinity.

One life is not sufficient for all these lessons. hence our soul, after death goes to another body to learn other sets of lessons

The paradoxes as to why some are born rich some poor, some without mind or without limbs...some from poverty going to utter richness...some spiritual from childhood... can not be explained without Reincarnation

Dont ask proof, because no one can give proof of God or heaven/hell...there are certain things which are beyond physical proofs

Many during the hypnotic state have remembered their last birth....many see glimpses of their last births in dreams or in meditation visions. In samadhi state of Meditation all of our past lives can be seen and Karmas repaired.

Why we dont remember past birth? Because Nature does not want us to get entangled to our last relations...so that we can freely learn new lessons...that z why She takes away the gross memory at death..and leads soul to new body with the resultant progress earned during last births
