If you're speaking of bringing a food to a home you've been invited to I suggest you speak with your host and ask what she would like you to bring. Of course you can always bring desserts and wines.

Heavens no! My family keeps switching the day, time, whether I should bring anything at all, or just if I want to bring something, and then she keeps adding more things to the menu which I had planned on making!
Oh this should be interesting.

I have found that making Rice Krispies Treats (recipe on box), into about one inch sizes, and putting them into very small cupcake cups placed onto a foiled or decorated dish or tray has always been appreciated by both children and adults. I call it that "one extra bite when you want that one extra bite of sweetness". Fruity Pebbles can also be used.

I usually call and ask the host what I should bring, that way we are not stuck with all the same things. Whatever she/he asks of me I try my hardest to provide!!!
