When everyone is seated at the table and each person is saying something they are thankful for (if you guys don't do that, go ahead and be the first to do so)...... then you can say, "I am thankful for my fiance..."
Then they should get it. ; }
It's a cute and creative way of announcing your engagement.
It's better than just saying, "Hey guys. We're engaged."
And by the way, congratulations. I'm happy for the two of you!

Go to a craft store and find a large blank puzzle (if you're feeling crafty you could make it yourself!)...write on it that you and your b/f are now engaged!!
Gracie and (b/f name)
got engaged on
(date)
Then give a few pieces to each family member and have them put it together!! It will keep the suspense up the whole time too!

I think i would buy them all a small gift that maybe has something to do with the wedding such as a ribbon or a hat or something that says things such as mother of the bride or father of the bride or father of the groom or mother of the groom and have them open them all at the same time they will love the surprise. Good luck and CONGRATS

i wager it relies upon on the way you experience about her. If I hadn't seen my girlfriend in distinct weeks i'd maximum in all probability provide her a huge lengthy hug, and purely get excitement from the feel of her in my fingers, the scent of her body spray or hair, and so on. even as i became contained in the military i became far flung from my girlfriend for over a 12 months. i will't even initiate to describe how lengthy I hugged her for the first time, there is no longer something fairly like the presence of a woman.

I used Easter to tell my family. I had taken off the engagement ring so they wouldn't notice. Then my husband said "I gave __ a great present the other day... why don't you show them?" And then I quickly slipped it on my finger and showed them. I got a great reaction.

You could ask to say the blessing at your Thanksgiving meal and then during grace, you can say that you are thankful for your fiance ___________ , and for your families and you ask that your engagement and wedding be blessed.
This should really get your families attention!

put a ring on top of the turkey when you bring it out and have it say to (your name) from (bf's name). or hide it in the stuffing. in any type of food. or you could just re- enact the engagement.
