Salt and pepper roast. Place on rack in roasting pan. Put in 300F oven. Cook 20 minutes per pound for medium rare. Remove from oven, let rest 15-20 minutes before slicing.

I have an alternative for you - the crock pot. Rub the roast with salt and pepper and other seasonings you like, put it in the crock pot fat side up, add 1/2 cup of broth, set it on low and go on with your day. Come back in 5-6 hours and you'll have the best roast ever!! And the leftover juice is great for the gravy! And you can add potatoes and carrots to the meat after 3 hours of cooking. They come out delicious!! Good luck!

1 cup water
1 can italian diced tomatoes,
salt
Pepper
Cumin
Put roast covered in foil for up to 5 hours on 350 degreese, (the longer the better)
Add potatoes, onions and carrots last hour of cooking.
