Well that's a good Q
I'll try to answer it in mathematical way of analysing the Q.
first ALLAH mentioned that he is going to preserve the Holly Quran and didn't lift it to human being so, this means that the Quran is right. and it was document in wrr=iting the whole Quran in 24 months after the prophet PB UH death and till know it is the same and the initial manuscripts is still avillable in prserved " to my best knowledge in Turki"
-----------------------------
The second point forget about history at the time being and read Holly Quran, where ALLAH has sweared to preserve the holly Quran also, sweared that he is going to show the non believers the scientific facts that guide them that Islam and holly Quran is the word of ALLAH.
--------------------------------
I'll give few examples and you can go to specillized sites to read more.
Keep in mind that holly Quran is brought by somebody who doesn't know how to read or write his NAME.

When did science discovered that Iron is not a metal that exisited on earth?? recent.
It is mentioned in Holly Quran that Iron has been brought to the earth.

When NASA discovered that there shuttle is hit with cupper particles when goes to space, also, has been mentioned that human being and genes when you try to escape from the earth you will be hit with fire and copper particle.
Also, it was mentioned that when sae and ocean or rivers meet there is a zone created which is tottaly different from both, and those different types of waters " chemical components" doesn't mix together even in science found that even the fishs and other creatures of these different waters doesn't mix.

Do you know that ALLAH has sweared about the frontal part of the brain that it is the part which guide the human to commi mistakes or guide the person to the right??
See it has been document in science that decissions usually made in the frontal part of the head.

Do you know that the earth and the skies were one part as smoke then has been splitted.

Do you know that human being creation after bone creation the bone is covered with muscles, and not to theprevious medical believes, and recently has been shown by recent emberiological studies.

So, all what I've mentioned and more and more
is mentioned in the Holly Quran,.

DO YOU THINK AN ILLITERATE CAN DISCOVER THESE THINGS OR ANY GUY AT THAT TIME KNOWS ABOUT THESE FACTS???
I'll leave the decission for you Intelligent Christian, Jew., Atheist.....every body in this forum.

First of all, the Qur'an does not claim to be the words of men (or a man), whether inspired or not. It claims to be the literal, word for word speech of God Himself, and offers evidence for it's claims. Secondly, it is perfectly preserved, through massive parallel chains of memorization passed on from generation to generation (a practice alive and well today - with tens or hundreds of thousands of Muslims around the world who have memorized the entire book), and in writing, since the time it was revealed.Even Christian and Jewish orientalists admit that it is uncorrupted.
Those who doubt the Qur'an claim it was written by Muhammad, but it is well known that he was illiterate, like the vast majority of people of Arabia at that time. What we do know about him is that he was known for his honesty and good conduct, to the extent that he was nicknamed 'Al-Amin' - the trustworthy, and called upon to arbitrate in the bitter disputes between the Arabs. A person does not spend the first forty years of his life gaining a reputation as an honest man, then suddenly begin to perpetrate the biggest lie in the history of mankind. We know that he kept away from idolatry, adultery and all the other evils of his time, and chose to worship only the God of Abraham, his forefather. Besides, how does an illiterate man compose what is acknowledged as the most beautiful work ever produced in the Arabic language ? Actually it goes further - the Qur'an challenges anyone to produce a chapter like it. The Arabs were excellent poets and knew how to use their language well, but none were able to match the depth, power and beauty of the Qur'an. This is not a subjective evaluation. Arabic is divided into 16 forms (called "bihar") - one for speech, one for poetry, and so on. The Qur'an fit into none of these forms. In other words, it was a completely new pattern, it defied linguistic classification, and at the same time moved men to tears, and sometimes to embrace Islam, merely upon hearing it's sublime words. This is just one aspect of the miracle of the Qur'an. It also contains explicit, precise prophecies which have come to pass, and information about scientific and natural phenomena, such as the development of the human embryo, which have only recently come to be known in the light of modern instrumentation and techniques. There is too much to mention on this topic, but you can find more at: http://thetruereligion.org/modules/wfsection/index.php?category=7
