Also, try catholic.com for information on the early Church Fathers (first few hundred years).

Have you read the two books of Acts in the Bible? Those and the epistles are by far the easiest references to find that there are. For further reading, the Catholic Church has much information, as they depend to a large extent on Tradition, and so it behooves them to KNOW just what those traditions were.
