Every time i talk on my home phone after exactly 10 minutes into my conversations, i hear a loud click like someone hung up on the other end every time. Does that mean my phone is tapped? If so, y the hell would someone tap it and y would they make it so obvious?

One of the requirements for phone tapping is that there should be no way that the tapped user can detect they are being tapped. These days the tapping is done electronically at the exchange, it isn't someone with crocodile clips on your phone line.

So your phone may be tapped, but that is not causing the clicks.

If your phone is tapped, it takes a court order, or the FISA Court can tap it without a Judges Signature or approval, but you would never know it, and they would not be so shoddy as to make audible sounds that could be heard by you.
It is most likely a Transformer, or Signal Booster that is checking the line while it is in use.

If you want to know for sure- mention these trigger words in a phone conversation:
Kill George Bush
Bomb the Whitehouse
I love Osama Bin Laden

See if someone shows up at your door :)

your phone might be tapped but more than likely your phone is super sinsitive and pushes the seperate sound waves sent out every 10 minutes though your speaker
