Well, let's look at the whole picture here. Obviously I have never been kicked in the nuts, but my husband and I have talked about this quite extensively after the birth of our first son.

Being kicked in the nuts doesn't hurt so much right at the point of contact, but comes seconds later as the thousands of nerves in that area bounce back. It lasts for a few minutes, although subsequent soreness can last for another few hours to a day.

Childbirth involves many internal organs of a female's body. From muscle contractions, to uterine contractions and function to bowel movements and vaginal tearing or cutting. Even if a woman is given an epidural, it cannot be given until about halfway through the birth (just before about 5 cm dialation). That is a long time to be dealing with contractions every minute. In addition to this, it takes weeks, and stitches in some VERY uncomfortable locations to recover from childbirth. Follow this up with a couple days of breast engorgement if the woman chooses to nurse her new baby which can only be described as being kicked in the nuts every two minutes for two days straight.

Women have a similar set of nerves in their breasts as men have in their testicles. Any woman who was ever hit there during puberty or when breast tissue is already tender (such as just before her cycle), can liken that pain to the pain of getting hit in the groin.

Sorry guys, I think we have you trumped here. I suppose you could liken childbirth more to passing a kidney stone or something along those lines, although that still goes much faster and has a quicker recovery time.

Child birth, being kicked in the nuts hurts I'm sure, but pushing an 8 pound thing out your you-know-what is not comparable to any kind of pain.

I think child birth hurts the most because you go through hours and hours of pain but then again I think its how hard that person got kicked in the nuts.

Child birth absolutely hurts a hell of a lot more.
I haven't had birth (yet) and I will never know what it's like to be kicked in the nuts.
But child birth includes hours and hours of labor. And the whole thing of getting a 6-8 pound baby pushed out of your body like that? Nothing will ever compare to that...

You know, you could actually probably find out if you just use different references of pain that both men and women have experience. Eventually you find somethings that guys will say hurt more than being kicked in the groin, and women will say hurts less than childbirth - or vice versa. It would be a pretty funny science fair project really ;)

I would probably say child birth... men only take a matter of minutes to recover from getting racked, but women... well, let's just say when childbirth can last up to 24 HOURS or longer...

I'd say it's much more painful to push that watermelon out of that keyhole...

Until men experience childbirth, they couldn't truly answer that question. And being punched in the boobs is the equivalent of being kicked in the nuts.

Ha! Well, I don't think they give out epidurals for groin injuries.
