1. Pilgramage to Mecca
2. Prayer five times daily
3. Belief in Muhammad as the final prophet of the one and only God
4. Religious almsgiving for those who can afford to
5. Fasting during Ramadan

Buddhism:

Life is Suffering
Four Noble Truths
The Eightfold Path

Christianity
Faith in Jesus as the Savior of mankind

are you wondering what there governing principles are?
well the only one i would know much about is Christianity... in my own branch we follow a few thing, The word of wisdom, the articles of faith and the 10 commandments

Christianity has several governing principles, but the major one is that only through Jesus Christ who according to the bible created the universe can you be saved.

The other two have no real salvation source to them.

Islam: There is no god besides Allah and Mohammed is his prophet. (Quran)
Buddhism: All life is suffering. "Buddha" was "the Enlightened one" of God, who conveyed his message.
Christianity: God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Bible)
