The Hyundai is a better value, however the Camry is still a better car even in base level CE trim. Try looking for reviews of the LE model, they are the same car except the LE comes with a few more features. As a matter of fact, mechanically, there is no difference between the CE, LE, and XLE.

I don't recall any reviews of a CE Camry. However Edmunds.com added an LE Camry to their long term fleet. So far they gave the Camry rave reviews for being smoothe and quite during highway cruising and for feeling very refined. The cons were that the Camry still isn't as sporty as the Accord.

I disagree with the above poster. For my money I'd buy a Hyundai. You get more car for your money (I have an Elantra that's bigger than the Camry)...and my car BRAND NEW AND LOADED cost me 13K. It's almost paid off now and I'll be getting another sometime soon.
You also have to look at warranty. Hyundai has the best warranty in the business. You have a problem with the engine or powertrain in the first 100K miles?? No problem...take it to the dealer and they'll fix it, no questions. Try that at a Toyota dealer, they'll laugh in your face.

Go with a Sonata...nicer, bigger, AND less expensive with a better warranty. Forget resale value, that's all crap. After all, you're buying, NOT selling.

Buy the Toyota.
the Hyundai claims better price and overall etc on the paper.
I've had a hyundai before and now i own a honda their build quality drive experience etc is miles apart.

apart from the resale value the Toyota wont dissapoint you anyday other than the price.

if you buy a hyundai everytime you see a toyota pass by you, it will make you feel bad :(
