Hello,

I think its easy to make generalisations on something like this because its always possible to find exceptions to the rule.

However, my experience is that once two people form a couple then yes! women can behave equaly as protective of their male partner as men are of their wife or girlfriends.

**I've seen two women have a punch up, or quarrel out of sheer jeaslousy about a bloke. Yes! most of the time its the other way around of course.

If you mean protected as in letting them go out then yes, some men can be, i know a lot of the mates dont like the thought of there lady being out and other men trying it on with them.

I think that the women that are over protective are generally that way because their bloke has done something to make them doubt the relationship so they become very protective in case they lose their man.

Im not over protected by mine! Obviously he would never let any harm come to me, but he knows if i have a disagreement with anyone (which of course i never do!) he doesn't need to go jumping in. He would only intervene if someone got violent with me.
And Im too much of a coward to protect him, overly or not!!

They should be over protective of them. I know lots of women that would try to steal my man in a heartbeat.

Protected means someone is protecting you. Protective means that you are protecting someone else. What's the question?

hmmm... interesting question. but i think its not about protection.
girls like protection and they usually fall for a man who can protect them.
but for the men its not protection its all about caring. they care of what they like. i dont know about other guys think like that but certainly i do.

Some are, some are not...
Most have reasonable freedom..
Some have controlling abusive husbands..
Some have husbands that do not protect them adequately..
