doea anyone know how i can find out the history of how a street got its name?

Type the name of the street into google search that's what I did and I found out that the name of my road was the name of a battle from the first world war in Flanders fields, that our local soldiers fought.

Try your local news paper they might have some thing in the archives relating to the street.Infact they will.Good Luck
