I'm looking for recommendations on old-style western restaurants in the greater Phoenix area to accomodate a large party (150 people). I went to Pinnacle Peak in Scottsdale last night and thought it was just OK. Anyone have any feedback on places like Reata Pass, Rawhide, San Tan Flats...or anything else in that genre?
Thanks!

I've only heard good things about Rawhide but have not been personally. It is more than just a meal, it is a whole town experience so this can be fun for groups especially if you plan to include families/kids. If it is a company party, you could arrange to have the posse come out and 'arrest' your boss and put him in the local jail, or involve co-workers in shoot-outs. Check out their website.

Rockin R Ranch is a good time. A small western style town with a western buffet dinner and a show. Your group can rent out the 'saloon' for after dinner as well.

Most people like Rustler's Rooste. This is the place that cuts ties off and you enter on a slide. Sawdust on the floors and veranda with beautiful views over the City.

T-Bone Steakhouse on 19th Ave, south of Dobbins in Phx. Still has hitching posts that people hitch their horses to when they come for dinner. Huge BBQ right in front of the restaurant. Large room to hold plenty of people in back and patio seating on the side. And it's along the South Mountain Preserve so you can get a great view of the whole valley at night.
