no - on the contrary it's very good for you ladies
But the thing is, you may have read some new scientific discoveries claiming it's no good. It's very debatable. Natural food is good only when taken in moderation, and if you believe the report and let them make you stop eating a certain kind of food, you are running the risk of having some deficiency in a long run. Variety and balance is the key to healthy eating.

The dark side of soy

Ok, now my opinion. If soy milk is so unhealthy that people should avoid it or consume a safe amount recommended by the experts, it will also happen to other foods we eat every day and what human beings have eaten for ages. It doesn't make sense. Before you consider it unhealthy, stop drinking coke and other frizzy drink, stop smoking and stop eating all those processed junk food.
However, it all depends on what soy milk you are drinking, read the label carefully, and I would say to play safe, drink one cup only in a day but not to drink it everyday, drink some skim milk as well.
Soy and Estrogen
Soy contains estrogen-like compounds, not estradiol. The plant sources of estrogen in soy are weak estrogens, approximately 1/1000th the activity of synthetic estrogens. A moderate amount of soy containing foods should not be a problem. Soy products, such as tofu, contain compounds which are very similar in structure and function to estrogen, therefore they have both anti-estrogenic and estrogenic effects. These compounds are called isoflavones.
It is noted in the consensus statement that the safety of isoflavones at specific amounts has not been established and to receive potential health benefits, it is preferable to obtain isoflavones from whole foods. Approximately 25 grams a day of soy protein in soy foods provides approximately 50 mg/day of isoflavones (mg isoflavones=approximately 2X soy protein amount). Average soy protein intake / amount of isoflavones is listed below for the following foods (Soy Protein Partners):
1 cup fortified soy milk: 7 grams of soy protein / 43 mg isoflavones
1/2 cup tofu: 10 grams soy protein / 25 mg isoflavones
1/2 cup cooked soy beans: 14 grams soy protein / 50 mg isoflavones
1/4 cup soy nuts: 15 g protein / 78 mg isoflavones
This is worth reading:

Does she have weight obtain around the decrease physique and waist, breast cancer and temper swings? If not, i does not worry approximately it. it relatively is her life in spite of everything. in case you're confident it is your activity to alter her milk eating behavior, why not do some learn from good factors, such simply by fact the Mayo health facility, or ask a dietitian. Then, deliver your learn archives on your daughter and supply a proof for to her what you located and why you difficulty, etc. Then, drop it. that's her life in spite of everything. No. It's better than cow's milk.
Humans are only animal the drinks milk after infancy and we even drink the infant milk from other animals. Not suprising so many people (including me) can't digest it.
Soya milk is lower in fat, has no saturated fat and contains compounds the help prevent cancer.
That's got to be a good thing.

I drink soya milk.
I don't think it is unhealthy. I think the only thing you lose is calcium, which is in cows milk.

Actually it can be. Soy is very similar to estrogen and can damage DNA. If you intake enough soy products (sorry I'm not sure how much) you increase your risk of certain cancers (breast, cervical, endometrial). For more information search google or go to cancer.org

no, it's good. It has no cholesterol, it has proteins, good fats, and natural phytoestrogens that can regulate your cycle and alleviate cramps. Just one warning- if you are taking oral contraceptives, it might make you queasy. It does not change the efficiency, but it can make you sick.

it cant really harm.. But it is not really beneficial to ur health since it increases estrogen level thereby decreasing testosterone level. So, i suggest you should avoid it or take it in moderation.
