I soooo hear you on this one. I'm in University and I'm a procrastinator to the core. I don't know if this will help you or not but, I got a laptop for my birthday this year, and now that I can sit on the couch and be comfortable (and I like being in the midst of noise too) I find it much easier to get work done. I think you just have to find a place where you can be comfortable, and know what time of day you work best at (I way prefer nights to mornings). Also, drinking water works better than caffeine. Good luck to you!

Break it down into small bits. Set a calendar and determine what you will accomplish, in advance. Unless you meet your goals for that time period do not allow yourself to do anything until it is finished.

Good study habits involve doing a little, every day, rather than letting things pile up.

Do not let yourself be tempted to solely work on the easier-to-do stuff. Mix it up between things you like to do and things you don't.

It's all about goals and accomplishment. Realizing that if you don't make good grades, you could lose scholarships and be struggling from a hole from now on might motivate you. Remember that for every "C" you have to make an "A" to get a 3-point. For every "D" you have to make an A and a B to recover. Why put yourself under that pressure?

Talk to your teacher. Tell them you know that you're behind and that you need to catch up. Often they can help you. I used to study in our college library in a back study room where no one went. I have this habit of looking up every time I hear a noise to see who it is, what happened, etc. The back room was good for me because no one ever went there and I had no excuses for distraction.

My cumulative GPA from high school had been a 3.64, but the next year when I went to college, my first quarter's GPA plummeted to 1.8 because of my poor study habits and a few other factors. What really helped me snap to it is realizing that I could do much better than this and it became my obsession to prove to myself that I was better than that 1.8 GPA, so for the rest of college I never again let myself slack off that much. I didn't graduate on Honor Roll, but I did manage to pull the grade up to a 3.4 cumulative GPA by the end of college.

Just tell yourself you're better than you're grades and make it your mission to prove it to yourself. After all, that's who the grades are for anyway. You know what you're capable of, now make it your mission to prove to yourself what you can do.

Use the carrot & stick method!
What are the consequences of not studying in time - possibly failure. This is your stick. What are the rewards for studying early - passing, possibly a distinction! This is your carrot.

Get it? Find something to motivate you enough to have rewards. The problem is, eveyone always uses the stick to get them going in stead of the carrot. Reward is a greater motivator than punishment!

First get off the internet. Second think about how bad you will feel when you are a 40 year old without a career.

Visualize......F

Just push yourself to get through it. Obviously you care because you are on here asking about it. Nothin' to it but to do it.

I motivate myself by thinking of all the money I'll make once I graduate lol. And then with the money and success come young, hot girlies... lol

I'm in the same boat. Really, you just have to motivate yourself. There isn't anything anyone else can do or any advice that can be given, you have to discipline yourself.

I know how you feel. Sometimes, the best motivation is to just get up and do it. You have to sometimes force yourself to do things even if you do not like what it is you have to do.

Really simple: do like I do, think about your future and how much you don't wanna be like every other ignorant person in this world :)
