Why is it when we are near someone we like or have feelings for, when the come close to us or touch us we get all tingly and get butterflies in our stomach. If one person feels this way, do you think there is a strong chance the other person feels this connection? Is this sexual tension or chemistry?

Thanks! :)

Frankly I don't think there is any reasonable explanation that can answer your question. People connect on different levels with different people whether we explain it as chemistry or not. Just because you're feeling that pull towards someone else it doesn't mean that they could be feeling the same thing. However vibes between two persons can be strong and yes you can get a hint of whether there's something there or not but honestly its not a sure thing radar. The best way to find out if someone feels a certain way about you is by asking them. Body signals are not always a sure thing especially as we can see or feel things that works with our imagination.

I'll say this once, in hopes that people will read my answer and STOP asking this question 20 different ways with the same general idea:
No matter what you feel, no matter how strong you feel it and whether or not you're drop-dead gorgeous or a troll living under a bridge: you are the only person that feels your emotions! On rare occassions, the person of your desires may reciprocate your lust and they may even eventually want you as much or close to it as you want them; but in most cases and all likelihood, one person is feeling a lot more for the other than is necessarily coming back to them. That's just the way it is; we all walk around in our own little world, regardless of what the media, your mother or some religious doctrine tells you! And other people are NEVER going to know what you mean unless you explain it to them in minute detail(unless of course they read minds!!!). Period

Unfortunately, it can be a one sided thing. Just because you are feeling the butterflies he might not be feeling the same thing. It is hard to tell if he is feeling the same way. I used to have a boyfriend that had mutual feelings. I could tell because of his reaction when he would see me, he would blush and be shy sometimes. Then when we finally got together it was amazing fireworks ...I am not exaggerating.
