you just sit there watching them go around and around like 500 times .......I dont know about you but I find it A tad sick the only fun is when theres a car crash.....sad truelly sad.....you have got to have better things to do ....really...so what do you people get out of it but sore butts and over eating.....

Then, why watch it? You can always change the channel. Many think it is only driving in circles, but these cars are 3600-3800lbs. that one must try to keep under control. There are NO timeouts, no breaks, drivers who get hurt, are back the next week, not like some other sports, where they get hurt, are out for a season, and still draw the big bucks while "recuperating". It's people like you who just don't get it, and if a person doesn't get it, it's not worth the time to try changing their minds. Two years ago, my sister couldn't understand why I wouldn't do things on Sat. night if a race was on, or a Sun., now, she goes to both Daytona races (we live in Fl), and Homestead. Boy has she changed. So much that she wants me and her to go to Talladega together, I told her "after I get to see a night race at Bristol then I will go to Daga with her. It's too bad that the only good thing you find about Nascar are the wrecks, fine when no one is hurt, but did you laugh too in 2001 when the last turn took Dale Earnhardt's life? You probably did, while the rest of us who know, looked at the person next to him and all they could say was "he's dead" and hang our heads and cry.

Your question, "nascar...could there be a more boring thing?" Yes, your rude question in the Nascar section!
I don't think everyone needs to watch Nascar and I can understand why others might not like it. Typically people put something down because they don't have knowledge about the subject. There is skill, strategy & technique to pretty much every sport out there, including Nascar.
To discredit something because you do not understand it... That is extreme ignorance.

Then don't watch it ..... there's alot of folks out there that do enjoy & religiously watch every week. I'm going to miss it for the 3 months they're off, but they need a break too. You can get a sore butt watching other sports also. And what's this about overeating?? Are you saying that folks don't "over eat" during other sports? We have a big throw down & party during the superbowl & EAT !!

Nascar is great, if you don't like it the answer is quite simple--don't watch it. However, it IS the biggest sport in the US and has the most loyal followers. Yes, it IS bigger than football.
