I just had a root canal done 2 weeks ago. I go back on Monday to finish the procedure. Just today I lost a piece of my temp. filling. Will it be ok to wait until Monday or should I make an appt sooner? Also I am still feeling some sensitivity in the tooth. Is this normal. I thought I wouldn't feel much since the nerves were killed. I feel like a shocking feeling in it and every once in a while I feel like a thumping in it.. I am a big wuss when it comes to the dentist and I don't want to mess this up and need to have the procedure done all over again cuz of my negligence.. lol..

To the last girl that answered my question last.. I am going to call today and see maybe he will even be able to finish it off today. What does the second half of the root canal require? I know last time he did all the roots and all. I assume I will need my Novocaine again.. lol.. Boy I am such a wuss.. hehe..

Hey there, I hope this helps!!! The placement of a temporary filling takes merely 5 minutes tops. I recomend you make a call to your dental office and I can assure you that they will find five minutes to fit you in. You will still have to go in on monday and get the rootcanal finished but that tooth needs to be temporarily filled. They will make time for you! Give em a call! Good Luck!!! Hope this helps

You might try melting down some candle wax and once it's just warm and still able to be manipulated, press a bit of it into the area where the missing piece of the filling is.

You can't wait you will have to go if you can today. The bacteria will get in there and make the tooth bad...
