Paula Deen's Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake.

Anything with that much butter is bound to be good.

Cake:
1 (18 1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 egg
8 tablespoons butter, melted
Filling:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.

To make the filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together. Next, add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey.

Serve with fresh whipped cream.

Variations: For a Pineapple Gooey Cake: Instead of the pumpkin, add a drained 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple to the cream cheese filling. Proceed as directed above.

For a Banana Gooey Cake: Prepare cream cheese filling as directed, beating in 2 ripe bananas instead of the pumpkin. Proceed as directed above.

For a Peanut Butter Gooey Cake: Use a chocolate cake mix. Add 1 cup creamy peanut butter to the cream cheese filling instead of the pumpkin. Proceed as directed above.

If you really want to shock them, just do something none of them have had before. Example: I'm making the black-bottomed banana cream pie from kraftfoods.com plus making dessert crepes.

Bottom line, whatever you choose, go all out. I love the wow factor.

My fav is cobbler with ice cream. Here is a fantastic recipe
Peach-A-Berry Cobbler

This is a family favorite. I often double the recipe to take to a pot luck dinner.

Source: Better Homes & Gardens Magazine, August 1990

1 cup flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup margarine
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water
3 cups fresh peaches, sliced
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon margarine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

For topping, stir together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and baking powder. Add milk and 1/4 cup margarine. Stir till smooth; set aside.

For filling, in a medium saucepan, stir together brown sugar and cornstarch; stir in water. Add peaches and blueberries. Cook and stir over medium heat till thickened and bubbly. Add 1 tablespoon butter and lemon juice; stir until butter melts. Pour into a 1 1/2 quart ungreased casserole. Spoon topping in mounds over hot filling; spread evenly over filling. Sprinkle with a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and nutmeg.

Bake cobbler in a 350 degree F oven about 35 minutes or till bubbly and a wooden pick inserted into crust comes out clean. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired. Makes 6 servings.

Frozen peaches and blueberries are fine in this. If using frozen blueberries, do not add to the peach mixture until it is almost done or berries will bleed.

Banana pudding....

Get some vanilla wafers. Lay them out on the bottom of baking dish. then slice bananas over them and repeat until your almost to the top of the baking dish (leave some room, about 1/4 of the pan) then make a package of banana pudding and pour it over the layers. sit in the fridge for the amount of time recommended on the box. Once the pudding is in there shake the pan a little to get the pudding all over.

Yum enjoy!

Tiramisu toffee dessert
(you can make the pound cake from scratch but it isnt necessary with all the other ingredients!)

INGREDIENTS
1 (10.75 ounce) package frozen prepared pound cake, thawed and cut into 9 slices
3/4 cup strong brewed coffee
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 (1.4 ounce) bars chocolate covered English toffee, chopped
DIRECTIONS
Arrange cake slices on bottom of a rectangular 11x7 inch baking dish, cutting cake slices if necessary to fit the bottom of the dish. Drizzle coffee over cake.
Beat sugar, chocolate syrup, and cream cheese in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add whipping cream; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Spread over cake. Sprinkle with chocolate-covered toffee candy.
Spread frosting over cake. Sprinkle with toffee candy. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but no longer than 24 hours to set dessert and blend flavors.

yes! its called a fruit pizza, tastes fantastic, easy to make and looks beautiful!
First, spread frozen cookie dough (use any kind of cookie dough, I like sugar cookie) on a pizza pan. Cook according to directions. Mix 1 jar of Marshmallow creme and 1 container creme cheese together and spread on cooled cookie. Arrange any kind of fruits you like in a pretty pattern on top. (I use fresh blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, and kiwi) serve. This has always gone over very well. Good luck!
