Dishes that maintain the general concept of a shell with a filling.

I've just eaten some I made last night.

Basic recipe

1/2 lb shortcrust pastry, made or bought. Roll out half an lay on a buttered ovenproof plate.

Filling

Any left over meat (I used the remnants of a leg of lamb), One chopped onion, some cubed potato, mixed herbs, Stock cube, Tomato puree.

Boil all the ingredients up for 20 mins. Place on bottom of pie adding some of the liquid. Moisten edges of crust and put top on. Pierce a few times with a fork. Brush with milk and bake for 30 mins at 200C.

What kind? there are pizza pies..pie can be defined in so many ways..pie can also be defined as circular..
