The word is german not sure of spelling/pernounced neigh.ney some kids at school are calling my son this so it cant be good.

It could be a dialect form of "neu" which just means "new", most likely if you are somewhere South and West of the Rhine, or else a form of "nein"=no, but there is no standard German word like that.
