what is the best cut for it? are layers good or bad?

If you want your hair to be more curly then layers are the way to go. If you want to have it be all length it's going to be straighter at the top and more curly at the bottom, now what will happen is because your hair will be curlier at the bottom, all the weight will be there and it'll look off balance. Unless you have loose curls like the second girl to comment most likely does, you can do one length. If you have tighter curls you're better off with layers to avoid the "Kathy" look. (Think of what Kathy looks like in the comics.)

Layers can be good, depending on your hair/type of curl and your hair stylist. Also, if you wear your hair straight ever you may want some layers for a better straight style, its hard to find the optimal middle, where hair looks excelllent blown out and excellent curly. That is something that only an amazing hair stylist can do . work with your stylist.. but never ever let them layer all of your hair.. no one in their right mind will do that to curly hair. You will have pyramid head as mentioned above. THey have to be layerd carefully and you have to know how to style them. For example, my hair can be pyramid hair if i do not diffuse them/ style them appropriatley....... but they are perfect if style them .......... However,i perfer no layers on curly hair. It makes it easier.

If your hair has a lot of volume, layers are not good for you. But generally speaking, layers are good for curly hair.

Layers CAN be good and the can also be bad, some people look like they have a triangle shaped head with short layers. I have longer layers in mine which helps keep it in a more rounded shape, ask a decent hairdresser for some advise.

Layers can be good if your hair is thick...try straightening your hair too this looks awesome! I have natural curly hair and I love the way it looks when I straighten it...I get lots of compliments.

Having lower layers are good, but not any short layers or else your hair will expand into the shape of a pyramid (I've experienced it).

oh my goodness i got my hair cut into layers it was horrible i cried for like 3 days it just did not work for my hair
