I think I meant to say the W-2 forms.

If you mean the forms from the IRS, they usually show up in early January.

W-2's and 1099's are supposed to be out by the end of January.

Your refund would come a couple weeks to a couple months after you file, depending on whether you file electronically (gives a faster refund).

W-2s and 1099s are required to be post-marked no later than Jan 31. Your employer is allowed to give them out earlier, but I've never seen it happen. I can see my W-2 on a secure website, but I don't recall when it is posted.

They are sent out in Jan. The deadline for a company to send them is Jan 31st

You'll get your wages middle of February..your job only has the deadline of January 31st.

legally, you employer has to send your w-2s to you by jan 31st
