Actually a guys preference is a girl who knows what she wants in bed and is not afraid to ask for it. Guys are usually pleasure 'givers' and they like to 'play with woman's body'. So what they want is to know whether the thingsthey are doing is giving the desired effect. It requires you to respond, encourage or guide him accordingly.
Being able to satisfy a females sexual urge succesfully ensures him that she will come back to him again for that thus satisfying that primal instinct of a male. Having a female who would help, encourage, guide and support him would be more importand than positions i guess.
