I had an account with Continental Finance, but there fees were entirely TOOOOO high, so I closed the account! I don't remember if I had to send them money, or they charged the card with fees. I hate credit cards that make you pay a processing fee first before receiving the card.

It is generally not a good thing when a credit card company requires $50 initial payment before activation. I don't know what the $50 does or why it's required, but I would definitely turn it down. If you want to get with a good credit card company, I would suggest Chase or Discover. They have always been good to me and never steered me wrong. http://www.chase.com/creditcards , http://www.discovercard.com . Good luck to you!
