It must be a logistical nightmare for someone to sort this out. And those poor people who were already on council house waiting lists are they pushed to the back of the queue.
Surely the council stocks must be so depelted since the option to buy was established way back. So many immigrants must stay in rented accommodation so does this mean we are back rackmanism

I am not knocking the immigrants...where can you see that here. Not even if you read between the lines. I am asking a question pure but not very simple. I live in the Bloo Toon so I know about immigrants too. I just want to know where they all live is that too hard a question to answer. Yes and I have really good laughs with them in the local supermarket. Blimey you cannae even ask a simple question on here anymore.

I have witnessed a few things in Social Housing, one such being the roof space of one rented house being boarded out and twenty matresses laid out.
People were sleeping on them during the day, which presumably means an equal number of others slept there at night.
Not a bad bit of sub-letting.
The Occupants were I am told carrying out the lowest of work tasks at hunger rates.
Looked like slavery to me.
It was duly reported by me, and absolutely nothing done about it.
Rackman lives and thrives.

They are being surreptitiously spread all over the country. In our area where housing is very expensive and the average wage is low the local people can not afford to buy housing and are forced to rent, now these are very high. Just recently several families thought that at last they were going to get the houses they had been promised - no every single one went to an Eastern European - along with £100 a week to help them settle, housing benefit, child allowance etc oh and their houses were furnished for them! How do you think that makes the locals feel. Yes I do agree that not all immigrants are spongers and some are really hard workers but this country is small and enough is enough!

Some of the immigrants work hard and earn money and therefore rent houses and don't expect handouts. And some of these "poor people" waiting for a council house don't work, claim benefits and have loads of kids.
If someones not moaning about all the lazy people in the UK that claim benefits, have loads of kids, never work but get a nice council house.... then they're moaning about all the immigrants.
Swings and roundabouts my dear!!!!

My friend works in housing for the council. To rent a house/flat to an immigrant it has to be up to a high standard with white goods in it for them. I was given a run down house with wallpaper ripped off the lounge walls and graffiti in the box bedroom and the bathroom was so damp, there was mushrooms on the wall. I had to live in there with my two children. The council wouldn't have been allowed to put immigrants in there. It makes me sick.

My mum lives in a small town in Scotland and they have a large Polish community there now. They don't know how they did before them, they do all the menial jobs well and with a smile on their faces, they pay their bills and their housing. I don't see what the problem is if they pay their way. They would not get onto the council housing list in the first place.

I completely agree. We only stay to tell the story a small island in assessment to a pair different international places, we don't have room for plenty extra. Plus it sickens me that immigrants can declare £250 yet people who stay right here and have worked all of their existence won't be able to get diddly squat. and that they get homes way much less stressful than the indigenous British human beings. it extremely is no longer truthful, signing directly to the european Union substitute into the worst element Britain ever did. Immigration needs to end and it needs to end NOW!

When i was faced with homelessness i was kindly told by my local council that it would take 5 yrs for me to be housed properly.
Im a white british person who has paid taxes etc.....
It makes me a bit miffed when people come over here and get given houses with various contents....we would only get a basic shell of a house.
Needless to say i found accomadation elsewhere!!!

The vast majority of immigrants to this country do not receive council housing - most rent privately, many staying in cramped B&B's.

Why do you assume that immigrants get council housing? The vast majority of them don't.
