It can be done either way. I find it best to add a small container Italian dressing, 1 Tablespoon soy sauce, clove garlic crushed,1/4 cup lemon juice, 1 small sliced onion and approximately 3-4 Tablespoons steak sauce. This will tenderize the steak if cooked slowly. I also add steak sauce atop the steak afterward. LL.

RE:
Is it better to add A1 steak sauce to steak during or after cooking it?
Some cooks have said it is best before.

i do after. when i am having friends over this is what i do, i take the steaks and marinade them in Dale's it a sauce/marinade similar to Worcestershire but with more spices (its not spicy hot though). i do this for at least an hour but usually overnight. i make sure the grill is really hot then put them on and once they are browned a little on either side i periodically brush them with melted butter or a butter substitute not margarine. usually no one wants any other steak sauces but i always put out a1 thick and hearty, original and heinz 57. to me the simplest way brings out the best flavor of the meat and tastes the best.

You are not really meant to add any seasoning to steaks before cooking, most of them are done afterwares and A1 steak sauce is one of them.

I usually use A1 as a marinade and it turns out really good. I tenderize the steak and let it sit in the A1 with some garlic, man it's good!!

Well, in my humble opinion, it wholly depends on the steak itself. I guess my opinion is after because if a steak is perfect, it is sacrelige to put steak sauce on it.
At my house, you get glares from the cook if you put steak sauce on your steak. We grill, and we charbroil. If the steak sucks to begin with (as in, it's a cheap piece of dead animal you're cooking out of desperation, not because it sounded good) you could probably put it on before. Perhaps even marinate it, after you beat the crap out of it and season it for added attempts at tenderness.
But if we're talking porterhouse or t-bone, or some good filets, don't put it on. The steak has its own flavor that can be brought out with good spices, such as garlic rubs and such.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aU5Z6
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true
