I made Shrimp Butter and and all I can taste is the garlic here is the link to the recipe

Oh yeah I didn't use the sherry because I didn't have any!

NO I didn't use the whole House Recipe I just added a dash here and there because where else would I use this?

Double the batch size,just don't add any more garlic!,,;-)=

use the sherry, it will probably cut the garlic. I would have used fresh roasted garlic because the garlic salt and un-cooked garlic is usually to powerful. If you broil un-chopped garlic until it gets soft it will not over power the rest of the flavors and still add a great flavor! I am afraid if the garlic salt was added in the end then there is no way to fix it. Never use garlic salt!!!!

Please tell me that you did not use the full amount of the house seasoning ? That house seasoning recipe makes about 1/2 cup when you should have only used a teaspoon ! I would try to add more butter to try to mellow it out or add more shrimp. You will probably need a lot more shrimp.

Just use some red wine vinegar to cut the garlic.....
Let stand for 2 minutes. Enjoy!

The recipe calls for lemon zest, so you could add some lemon juice and it would help with the taste.

I agree with Jcontrol- just add more butter to it till it tastes okay.

I don't really see what the garlic was to be used for, and why they used that much. Start over.
