Books and magazines are fine in you hand luggage, I have attached some links for you to show you the latest rules.

I flew to Dubai only 3 weeks ago with a few magazines and had no problems at all, also to Turkey 7 weeks ago.

You'll be ok, as long they're clean!

Yes they are and you can bring cosmetics and similar stuff on broad in hand luggage as long as each Bottle etc contains no more than 150ml... Have a nice time....

Yes I've flown with books and magazines in hand luggage. so i dont see why not. although mind you with all the *terror alerts* they might check the content of the book :P

Of course. It's things like fingernail clippers and scissors that they are looking to confiscate. Don't try bringing those. They will take them in a heartbeat. Look at what is on your key chain too. They are sure to take any sharp objects.

I believe that they are allowed on the aircraft. If you go to http://www.tsa.gov/ they have a complete and updated list of what you can and cannot bring on the aircraft.

if you are in the U.S they are allowed
for toilitries you need 1 quart size clear ziplock bag with each aarticle no more than 3 oz.
no lighters
