I want all my rings to match and fit together perfectly, but don't have the money to afford a specially commissioned set. Does anyone know of anywhere that does so-called 'bridal sets'?

Chars.

My engagement ring is soldered to a 1 carat anniversary band. I got them at two different jewelry stores and you can't tell it's not a set. Avoid eternity rings where the diamonds go around the whole band as they can't be resized.

Any decent jewelry store should have several such sets. You could also think about a solitaire for the engagement ring and use a jacket for the wedding ring to add any extra oomph that you would like.

I would avoid the mall stores like Kay etc since the quality is poor, the salespeople tend to be ignorant and unhelpful, and the service is never there. Go to your local jeweler, get personalized service, and a good quality ring. They will help you find exactly what you are looking for.

While I do think the set you have picked out is lovely, the simple fact is, it isn't what she has specifically told you. I don't think solitaires are boring at all. In fact, my engagement ring is an Asscher solitaire. It's lovely. I think solitaires can have a lot of character. However, my opinion doesn't truly count, nor does yours to be perfectly honest. If you had bought the ring, without knowing her opinion, it would be a different story. You DO know her opinion though, and no matter how pretty and nice the set you have picked out is, it just may not be her taste. Your safest bet is to go with what you know she will love. Good luck

Make the trip to Vegas and sit down with Mike. You won't find a more honest diamond guy who can make anything you want. If you want to keep cost down, I suggest getting a center stone of about .97 carats (just being that little bit under a carat makes the stone quite a bit cheaper). Also, get a stone with imperfections that will be covered by the setting; this also keeps costs down.

Look at Kay Jewelers or a famous diamond store like what celebrites use because that is where I would want ym fiance to get mine from.
